In 2008 Tim DeChristopher grabbed national attention when he disrupted an oil and gas auction.
It was a calculated act of civil disobedience, for which he is now facing federal felony charges brought by the US Department of Justice.
In this first in a series of exclusive interviews, DeChristopher explains why crossing legal boundaries had become a necessary part of his environmental activism.
His trial is scheduled for February 28th in Salt Lake City.
